E-commerce

Storefronts where the cart does not leak.

Overview

What is E-commerce?

E-commerce is the storefront and everything behind it: product pages, bundles, variants, subscriptions, shipping logic and a checkout that behaves on a phone. We build on Shopify most often, or custom where there is a reason, and we design around your actual catalog rather than fitting your products into a theme somebody else built for a different business. Most of the value is in the unglamorous parts, which is where most stores lose people.

E-commerce is one of the disciplines under Experience Design.

Who it’s for

Who needs E-commerce?

You are selling direct, or want to, and right now it is a purchased theme modified until it mostly works. Maybe traffic is fine and conversion is not. Maybe you are moving off a marketplace and want the margin back. Stores with complicated bundles, preorders or heavy shipping rules are where this work pays for itself fastest.
