A title treatment is the lettering that carries a property, and the identity is the system around it: type, color, texture and the rules for how it behaves. It has to hold up on a billboard, as a streaming tile the size of a stamp, embroidered on a hat and printed on a lunchbox by a licensee you will never meet. We design it for the crop you did not choose, which is most of the job, and document it so partners stay on model without asking.
Franchise Identity & Title Treatment sits under Branding, drawing on Brand Design and Brand Governance.
You have a property going into the world across more than one format. A film with merch behind it, a game with a publishing deal, a series heading into licensing. Right now you have a logo somebody drew for a title card and it does not survive being made small or stitched. The earlier this gets built, the less you spend on approvals later.
Hero art, character sheets and the rules for cropping them, so year two looks like year one.
