A companion app handles the parts of a game that paper does badly. Scoring, campaign state, legacy unlocks, scenario setup, timers, soundtracks and rules lookup. Design matters more here than almost anywhere, because the app competes with the table for attention and has to lose gracefully. We design and build it, and we are usually opinionated about keeping the app small so the game stays the thing people are looking at.
Tabletop Mobile App Companion sits under Experience Design, drawing on App & Mobile and SaaS.
Your game has bookkeeping that slows play down, or a campaign structure that is hard to track on paper. Maybe you want to add value to a deluxe tier without adding manufacturing cost. Apps are a real commitment with real maintenance, so this is a fit when the game genuinely needs one, not when it would just be nice to have.
Clear, on-brand rulebooks and reference sheets that are genuinely easy to follow.
