Live action is anything shot with a camera rather than built in software. Product in use, people playing, hands opening a box, a founder talking to the lens. It is the footage that proves a thing exists, which matters more than it used to now that everything can be rendered. We handle it end to end: concept, casting, location or studio, shoot, edit and grade. Most of our work mixes live action with animation, so we shoot knowing exactly what is getting composited on top of it later.

Live Action Video is one of the disciplines under Rich Media.

Who it’s for

Who needs Live Action Video?

You have something physical and the current footage is a phone propped against a stack of books. Or you need people in the frame, because the product only makes sense once somebody is using it. If the product does not exist yet, 3D is usually the better route until it does, and we will say so rather than shooting a prototype that undersells you.
